Motihari Brigade’s new official short film explores the struggle to perceive reality amidst the onslaught of corporate-state technological dystopian narrative control.

"Reality Show" (Official Short Film)

Filmmaker Jovana Tomasevic of MLADE Studio directed and produced this creative cinematic visual story for the song “Reality Show.”

Jovana envisioned the mysterious hooded figure to represent the spirit of hope itself, encouraging people to break free from the technological filters imposed by an elite. For a while, they are able to open their eyes, freely perceive reality, and smile, before all being consumed once again by the system.  Appropriately, the video ends with a quote from George Orwell’s “1984.”

But hope springs eternal, as they say…

“Reality Show” is from Motihari Brigade’s album “Algorithm & Blues.”  Watch and share on YouTube and at mbrigade.com

Motihari Brigade release Official Lyric Video for “Rock-N-Roll Thoughtcrime.” The anthemic theme song encourages listeners to “Answer the question. Question the answer. Let your light shine” – in the hope that in these strange days an unlikely band of critical thinkers may yet be inspired to chart an independent course and escape zombie dystopia. The idea is half the battle.

Motihari Brigade’s second album “Algorithm & Blues” (2022) features defibrillating electric guitar, tachycardia rhythms on bass, and drums played by an octopus on stimulants.  Layered keyboard, horn, and vocal arrangements combine to produce the magic of a highly-caffeinated rock band thumping on all ventricles. Twelve original songs and one cover provide an energetic soundtrack for listeners to more happily navigate the dystopian reality show that we are all now busily sharing on our smart appendages.

Rock-N-Roll Thoughtcrime for independent minds.

Motihari Brigade releases a new lyric video for the song “The Party Is Over” from the album “Algorithm & Blues” (2022).

Red wine spills from a shattered glass of elegant stemware – symbolizing the decadent party that is currently winding down while a new generation seeks its place in a diminished world. Motihari Brigade’s “The Party Is Over” offers a Dylan-esque tour d’horizon as the world slow dances into burning chaos. Will the great disintegration clear the way for something new to rise from the ashes? Perhaps not.  We’ll see. The “party” may be over, but the groove is just getting started with this post-glam “no alternative rock” neo-classic.

Algorithm & Blues

“Algorithm & Blues” the new album from Motihari Brigade is available now for digital download, streaming, and on compact disc. (Release date: September 8, 2022)  Creative Destruction Records (UPC 195269176655).

The band’s second album features defibrillating electric guitar, tachycardia rhythms on bass, and drums played by an octopus on stimulants.  Layered keyboard, horn, and vocal arrangements combine to produce the magic of a highly-caffeinated rock band thumping on all ventricles. Twelve original songs and one cover provide an energetic soundtrack for listeners to more happily navigate the dystopian reality show that we are all now busily sharing.

Motihari Brigade’s music is Rock-N-Roll Thoughtcrime for independent minds, inspired by Orwell – and intended as an alternative to the official programming that overwhelms our tele-screens.

Algorithm & Blues raucously competes for any remaining crumbs of attention span still left available despite the onslaught of big-tech media that currently dominates the psychological crisis of human consciousness. Listen to Motihari Brigade and howl with rebellious defiance while zombies gaze at hypnotic images flickering on their smart appendages.

The album’s cover art features red wine spilling from a shattered glass of elegant stemware, symbolizing the decadent party that is winding down while a new generation seeks its place in a diminished world.

“This is the modern take on underground rock” says Chris Spector, Midwest Record

U.K. born singer, songwriter, and guitarist Eric Winston is the philosopher-serf behind Motihari Brigade’s unique sound and concept.

Escape zombie dystopia. Take the colored pill of your choice. Blink your eyes and smile. The theme album for the great disintegration has arrived – just in time for something new to rise from the ashes. Or perhaps not.  We’ll see.

Watch the new YouTube video of the title track from Motihari Brigade’s 2022 album release “Algorithm & Blues” raucously compete for any remaining crumbs of attention span still left available despite an onslaught from big-tech dominated media censors. Vibrato electric guitars drive this hyper-caffeinated exploration of the current dystopian dilemma. “Algorithm & Blues” is a rock-n-roll thoughtcrime celebration of the post-modern psychological crisis we are all now busily sharing on social media. Lyrics describe a “consciousness of memes” vying to define the prevailing narrative of today’s virtual reality – “the illusion of freewill, swallowing the pill.” The song ends with a nod to rock music’s history of cultural defiance – “meanwhile I’m still thinking.
